Publisher of Golfing Magazine • President of the International Network of Golf • Author “Business Golf”
John grew up on Long Island just a few miles away from the now famous Bethpage Black golf course, the site of the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Opens. His first career was as a musician. After learning to play drums starting at the age of ten, John turned professional at 16. It was the start of a 20-year career.
After years of playing and teaching, John pursued “a real job” with defense contractor Grumman Aerospace Corporation. It was there he realized how important business golf was to business success. After he fell in love with the game of golf, Long Island Golfer Magazine was born. He later went on, for 17 years, to publish Long Island Golfer Magazine which, as it expanded, changed its name to Golfing Magazine, a national golf magazine with an emphasis on targeting regional markets.
John is currently the President of the International Network of Golf, one of the golf industries largest associations bringing the golf media and golf industry together. It is through ING that John has developed a keen sense of relationship building.
John still lives on Long Island, where he tries to get out on the 140 Long Island golf courses whenever he can.
