Starting and Completing Your Journey to Success
Planning for success is like planning for a road trip: you need to know WHERE you're going, WHY you're going, and HOW you will get there. You also need to equip yourself with the tools necessary to have a successful journey. For students, this journey can be a frightening experience. Through this presentation, students will explore the steps necessary to develop their own Personal Success Strategic Plan (PSSP) to help ensure their success in high school, college and beyond. Whether your students are in high school preparing for college, college freshmen looking at the next four years of their lives, or college seniors about to embark on a whole new world, participants will learn to understand where they want to go in life and why, create better goals and strategies to achieve them, use self motivation and hard work to keep moving, and make adjustments when things don't go as planned. This workshop comes in hour or half-day format.

Time to Teach: Engagement and Motivation in EVERY Classroom
In today’s dynamic world it is hard to grab interest in biology or algebra! Through randomization and story-telling, I present very specific methods to re-engage your students and increase participation in your classroom. A student who isn’t interested is not likely to care about the lesson. Approaching instruction by using their vernacular, experiences, and points of view will greatly increase their interest and understanding of your lesson. My strategies help you build student motivation which in turn increases student participation. Fun, engaging lessons are at the heart of building a classroom that has participation from all students. We also introduce methods for creating an inquisitive classroom, where students are free to question the material and explore the curricula in greater depth. By honoring student voice, giving them more opportunities to respond to instruction and presenting the material in several modes and intelligences of learning, we greatly increase the chances our students will discover more ways of learning. If we teach to their strengths and help them overcome their weaker areas, they will have more tools for their own learning. You are competing for your student’s attention every day.
Time to Teach: Classroom Management
If you want to increase student achievement, you must first put a system in place for discipline that empowers your teachers to improve behaviors of students in the classroom. You can provide your staff with world-class training on classroom management to help you achieve these goals. This training will help your staff gain back that lost teaching time with research based, proven strategies that minimize or eliminates 70 – 90% of low-level, chronic behaviors.
Coaching Team Members to Peak Performance
It has been said that the mark of a good leader is the ability to get people to do something they otherwise would not do and like it. This becomes more challenging when dealing with a volunteer organization. In this fun and interactive workshop, participants will learn how to: identify motivation techniques to inspire your team to peak performance; use an easy, step-by-step method for providing feedback to team members; and develop the knowledge and skills to achieve the most from workers/team members, increase productivity and creativity, all while enjoying work and the workplace. This workshop is ideal for new and seasoned supervisors, officers in Greek and other student organizations, those looking to increase productivity among their staff, and anyone looking to inject life and enthusiasm into their environment. Participants will learn how to: better understand how different behavioral styles are viewed so the team benefits rather than suffers from behavioral differences; give feedback and coach employees with weak interpersonal skills; work with team members' motivation for successful interpersonal dealings and job performance; and implement positive mentoring skills in order to assist staff to reach their potential and grow to the next level.
