Joe has been leading some amazing breakfast meetings through his firm, CMM LLP. This panel discussion will be very informative as the panelist are all looking at the economy with a different perspective.
Of course you will also be attending the Trade Show floor. Do you gave a plan? Do you have a quantifiable goals for the day? To say you want to generate business is easy. We all want business. That is a very easy conclusion, yet getting to that end point is quite different depending upon who you are and the type of show. One thing that you must be clear on is your goal. The clearer it is to you the more clarity you will have in who you wish to meet and the marketing materials you bring with you.
Let us use the scenario of first time trade show exhibitor.
If this is your first event then you should understand one very important concept. Everything, and I mean everything will take longer than expected so start early.
First decision is what do you want to accomplish? This will be a few items but the basic ones should be;
Activity at your booth. Think of your last vacation. When you went out to dinner, did you go to the restaurants that was empty or the one that looked busy? Your booth activity will breed activity also. This will mean pre-show marketing activity. As soon as you get your location send out an invite to all your clients. Let them know about your involvement, the type of show and if it is something hat they may benefit from either as an attendee or an exhibitor themselves. By having them attend they will certainly stop by your booth, maybe even give you a testimonial and their presence will place a smiling face at your location.
Set up appointments during the show.
Even though we have been participating at this event for years, we are contacting all of our speaker bureau members and inviting them to frequent our booth and perhaps even doing book signings or interviews. This will be our foundation for booth traffic. The next invites will go to you and here it is. Please visit the Communications Strategy Group/Long Island Speakers Bureau Booth at the Hauppauge Industrial Association Trade Show. Expect to meet some of the outstanding members of the Long Island Speakers Bureau.
Join us at the Hauppuage Industrial Trade Show – May 25th from 9-3pm
