Here we are in mid year and are you achieving your goals?
I’ll let others talk about business plans, benchmarks and income objectives.
What I want to talk about today is achieving your personal goals. For example, why did you start your business or what you do you hope to accomplish as a speaker. We should also talk about the manner in which you are dealing with daily challenges.
Early in June we scheduled a trip to climb Mt Washington, but it was postponed to July for a few reasons. Personally, I am disappointed. But the delay is just that – a delay. It got me thinking:
Why do we often need to hit a road block, a disaster, or a personal crisis, before we learn who are and what we are truly meant to do?
I have asked this question of many people. I know an athlete who became paralyzed and has accomplished more now than he had before. Another man I know with a brain injury, was motivated to ride across the US for a cause. Yet another suffered a chronic illness that almost killed him before he became a best selling author.
Take some time this summer to really think about how you are meeting your personal goals. Are you being true to yourself and doing what is meaningful in your life? Unsure?
